Thank you to The Atlantic Magazine blog section for this juicy tidbit. Next time you pay more for your Chipolte meal, you can thank the dirtbag, low life, scum sucking, steaming pile legal profession.
Federal Judges vs. ‘Chipotle Experience’
By Max Fisher on July 31, 2010 8:12am
The Atlantic Wire
Two judges on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals have ruled that Mexican chain restaurant Chipotle must pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages for the “Chipotle Experience,” in which customers watch their food being prepared on the other side of a clear plastic screen. The Chipotle Experience, said the court, violates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) because it cannot be experienced by individuals in wheelchairs.
Shakespeare had it right. He just did not get started on the job before they could reproduce.
This is my challenge to privately owned businesses who want to end this crap:
1. If sued for frivolous reasons and you lose in court, don’t just settle.
2. Pay the settlement decision if you have to (or can) as Chipolte had to do above.
3. Close your business, fire the employees, and when asked give the name of the law firm and reason why you closed down.
4. Take all of your money out of the U.S., deposit it in an interest bearing account in the local currency of either Hong Kong or Singapore.
5. Emigrate out of here, pay your fees and tell the U.S. to go piss up a rope.
Perhaps when the only employers are law firms suing other law firms, those idiot doctors that didn’t bail out when they had the chance, and government employees, then, just maybe then, the American people might have had enough of this crap. But since we’re a nation of unprincipled cowards like the lawyers, I do not look for this to happen. So enjoy the perpetual legal rape you get from the legal profession, lawyers turned politicians, and bureaucrats who make the rules up as they go along.
Capitalism is nothing more than a cold dead body on a slab at the morgue in this nation. Get used to the stench of the rotting corpse and the flies.
